Terms + Conditions of Ticket Sale + Entry to
Festival
St. Jerome's Laneway Festival (Festival)
is co-promoted by The Laneway Festival Pty Ltd ABN 26 450 320 149 and The
Rockin Roll Circus Pty Limited ABN 25 115 727 887 (collectively Promoter).A
Tickets to the Festival are sold or
given, and admission to the Festival is granted on the express condition that
you are bound by these Terms and Conditions and any other rules and regulations
notified by Promoter (T+Cs).
You must follow the reasonable directions of
Festival staff as required and comply with the law at all times during the
Festival.
Proof
of Age:A the Festival is an 18 years and over
event.A Persons under the age of 18
years will be denied entry to the Festival.A You must have proof of age or photo ID
to enter the Festival, or you may be refused entry to the Festival.A Promoter reserves the right to evict any
underage person (or persons unable to provide proof of age ID).
Ticket
Purchase Limits:A Promoter reserves the right to enforce
published ticket purchase limits and cancel any tickets obtained above said
limits by any one customer.
Wristbands:A entry
to the Festival will be granted with presentation of a bar-coded wristband, or
a print-at-home PDF ticket to be exchanged for a wristband upon entry, issued
by Greentix Pty Ltd (Greentix).A The wristband is your ticket to the
Festival and must be on your wrist prior to approaching the Festival entry and
in good condition for scanning. Your Greentix wristband must be worn at all
times during the Festival as failure to do so may result in your eviction from
the Festival site.A Wristbands
removed from wrists or tampered with will be rendered invalid and will not be
replaced.A Damaged or defaced
tickets will not be accepted.
Passouts: no Passouts will be issued unless otherwise
advised.
Refunds:A
no refunds or exchanges will be issued if the Festival is cancelled in
its entirety due to a reason beyond the control of Promoter.A In such circumstances, Promoter will not
be liable for any damage, compensation, loss or expenses resulting from the
Festival being cancelled, postponed, relocated or changed.A If a refund is made by Promoter you will
receive a full refund of the ticket price and of the industry imposed ticket
charges. Promoter will endeavour to provide the refund within five (5) business
days.A Request for refunds must be
made within four (4) weeks of the cancellation of the Festival.A There will be no refund on any unused
portion of tickets if you or your invitees are asked or forced to leave for any
of the reasons set out in these T+Cs or if you decide not to attend any part of
the Festival.
Lost
Tickets:A there will be no replacement for lost,
destroyed or stolen tickets, unless proof of purchase is presented.
Ticket
Details:A you are responsible for checking all
Festival information and ensuring you have purchased the right ticket for the
right St. JeromeaEUR(TM)s Laneway Festival date.A
No refunds will be processed if you mistakenly purchased a ticket to the
wrong city or made some other error in connection with your ticket purchase.A A Be sure to check the FAQs on the Festival
website (www.lanewayfestival.com.au) for prohibited items and other entry
guidelines.
Ticket Restrictions:A tickets may not, without the prior
written consent of Promoter, be re-sold or offered for resale at a premium
(including via online auction sites) or used for advertising, promotion or
other commercial purposes (including but not limited to competitions and trade
promotions) or to enhance the demand for other goods or services, either by the
original purchaser or any subsequent bearer. If a ticket is sold or used in breach
of this condition, the ticket may be cancelled without a refund and the bearer
of the ticket may be refused admission.
Your
Personal Information:A Promoter will not use or disclose your
personal information given at the time of purchase without consent, with the
exception of the promotional purchase of the Logitech earphones.A Your postal information will be given to
the Logitech distributors for the purpose of shipping the product only.A
Changes
to Line-Up and Cancellation:A Promoter reserves the right to change, add,
withdraw or substitute artists in the Festival line-up, vary the advertised
program, seating capacity, audience capacity, the date or venue without prior
notification and deny admission to the Festival (including admission to a
particular performance at the Festival) with reasonable cause.A In the event of any such change, refunds
will not be available. Subject to this clause, Promoter isA notA
liableA forA anyA
loss,A damageA orA
compensationA asA aA
resultA ofA theA
Festival beingA cancelled,
postponed, relocated or changed for any reason.A If the Festival is cancelled in whole or
in part by act of God or act of war or industrial dispute or for any event
outside of the control of Promoter then refunds shall be at PromoteraEUR(TM)s absolute
discretion.A If the Festival is
cancelled for any other reason, Promoter will refund to you the ticket price (excluding
booking fees, delivery or mail fees) upon request by you to Greentix within
three (3) weeks after the cancellation, provided that the original ticket(s)
and proof of purchase are presented.A
Restricted
Capacity:A you acknowledge that there may be restricted
capacities at some of the FestivalaEUR(TM)s stages or venues.A Once the maximum capacity is reached in
these areas there will be no further admissions.A Your purchase of a ticket to the
Festival does not guarantee admission to these areas in such cases.
Smoking
Policy:A venues and stages on and within the Festival site
may operate a No Smoking policy and you must comply with any such policy.
Recording
of Festival by you: A professional audio or visual recordings
of the Festival are prohibited without authorised media accreditation.A Still cameras (not professional) are
permitted but images may only be used for private purposes and not public
display.A Any photographic equipment
with an interchangeable lens classifies as a professional camera by the FestivalaEUR(TM)s
security standards.
Recording
of Event by Promoter:A you consent to be included in film and
sound recordings of the Festival and for these recordings to be used by the
event organiser or Promoter in any medium or context throughout the world and
in perpetuity without further authorisation by, or compensation to, you.
Search
on Entry:A it may be a condition of entry to the Festival
that a search of you and/or your possessions be required at the time of entry
to the Festival in order to ensure the safety of all patrons.A If you do not consent to such searches,
you may be denied entry to the Festival.A
Prohibited items will be confiscated and confiscated items will not be
returned, replaced or reimbursed and proceeds from confiscated items (if any)
will be donated to the Yiriman project.A
Prohibited items include:A
alcohol, glass, illegal substances, flares, fireworks, explosives, BBQs,
gas bottles, umbrellas, knives, anything that could be used as a weapon and
anything else deemed by the Promoter to be potentially dangerous or
antisocial.A
No Animals: with the exception of service dogs, no
animals are permitted.
Your
Behaviour:A you must ensure that you and your party
act in an orderly manner when attending the Festival.A Promoter may refuse entry or evict you
if you or any of your party are behaving in a disorderly, offensive or
inappropriate manner.A The Festival
is a friendly, laid-back event, so please treat your fellow Festival-goers the
way you would like to be treated.
Alcohol:A Promoter
reserves the right to evict you if you disobey or break the Responsible Service
of Alcohol legislation.A The
Festival is fully licensed.A Only
alcohol purchased from bars within the Festival may be consumed at the Festival.A You are not permitted to bring any
alcohol into the Festival and any found will be confiscated.A If you wish to consume alcohol you must
have proof of age photographic ID.
Drugs:A
if you are found supplying or consuming illicit drugs you will be
evicted from the Festival and may face criminal charges.
Signage:A you
are not permitted to display trading or signs without prior consent of the
Promoter.
Credit
Card Statement Info:A as The Laneway Festival Pty Ltd ACN 134
329 043 is co-ordinating the ticketing on behalf of the Festival, please be
aware that the name The Laneway Festival
Pty Ltd will appear on your credit card statement next to the ticket
purchase transaction.
Indemnity:A you
agree to indemnify Promoter and the owner or lessee of the venue against any
loss or damage Promoter and/or venue owner or lessee may suffer arising out of
your negligence or breach of these T+Cs.
Risk:
entry to the Festival is at your own
risk. Without limiting the generality of this, appropriate footwear and
clothingA mustA beA

Festival; you must not mosh, crowd surf or stage dive; ear plugs should
be worn if necessary. To the extent permitted byA law, Promoter takes no responsibility
for any hearing damageA orA lossA causedA byA
excessiveA noiseA orA
injuryA caused by your
failure to follow PromoteraEUR(TM)s directives. In the event of injury or illness
Promoter may, at your cost, arrange medical treatment and/or emergency
evacuation as deemed essential for your safety.
PromoteraEUR(TM)s
Liability: the services
provided by Promoter will be rendered with due care and skill to the extent
required by Section 74 of the Trade
Practices Act 1974 and applicable similar state legislation.A Apart from such statutory liability,
Promoter and the owner and or lessee of the venue will not be liable or
responsible for any damage or loss suffered or incurred by you when you enter
or are on the site of the Festival whether caused by the negligence of Promoter
or that owner or lessee or otherwise, whether arising in tort, contract,
bailment or otherwise - all such injury loss or damage to person or property is
at your own risk.A Without limiting

Release:A to
the full extent permitted by law, you waive all legal rights of action against
and fully release Promoter, its agents, employees, members and volunteers for
all claims for compensation for loss, damage, injury or death howsoever arising
out of or in relation to your participation in the Festival including without
limitation, liability for any negligent or tortious act or omission on the part
of the persons released or under statute or for breach of these T+Cs.
Enforceability:A if
any provision of these T+Cs which is
or becomes unenforceable shall not invalidate the other provisions of these
T+Cs.
Environment:A
Promoter cares for the environment and community.A Please be respectful and place any
litter in the bins provided around the Festival venue. Be waste and water wise
