Enjoy a day in the garden and explore Paul Bangay's 'Stonefields', one of Australia's most beautiful country gardens.
Over two days Paul will open his garden to the public to raise money for the Stephanie Alexander Kitchen Garden Foundation. Visitors will be able to spend the day exploring Paul’s seven acres of garden, boasting terraced parterres, white garden, blue perennial entrance borders, apple walk, circular woodland garden, walled rose garden, rear terrace with sweeping country views, twin pool lawns and perennial borders, plus vegetable garden.
Paul Bangay and Stephanie Alexander, both celebrated authors of books on gardening and cooking, will be available throughout the weekend for book sales and book signings. Children 12 and under free.
Pre-purchase tickets online and be in the draw to win a collection of personally signed books by Stephanie Alexander and Paul Bangay. Note: Prize will be drawn 5 pm Friday 18 November.
Tickets will also be available each day at the gate.
As an additional special offer, Paul Bangay has agreed to kindly host a private viewing of Stonefields on Sunday 20 November from 9.30am. Gardening enthusiasts will be able to speak personally with Paul about his choice of landscape design for Stonefields.
Tickets for this exclusive offer must be purchased online prior to the event. Be quick, this offer is for a limited number of people only.
Stuart Rattle's 'Musk Farm Garden' is also open on the same weekend, just 10 minutes drive from Stonefields. This will be a rare opportunity to view two of Australia's most remarkable gardens on the same weekend.
Directional signage to Stonefields will be in place on the day from Mains Road, Denver (Melways Map 609 E8), off the Daylesford-Malmsbury Road. On arrival, follow the instructions of staff to parking. There will be a 5-minute walk from the carpark to the entrance of Stonefields.
Country tea and home-made scones will be available for purchase.
Smith & Gordon will be selling plants throughout the weekend. All proceeds above wholesale price will be donated to the Stephanie Alexander Kitchen Garden Foundation.
